I once went through a phase where I would tell people I only shot weddings but you know what? Screw that! I am a photographer; plain and simple! My job is to serve my community, my clients and my God through this special gift. This quineañera has inspired me to rekindle that love for that In-The-Moment-Photojournalism style that makes my brand Ben Briones Studios stand out! Carol and Destiny, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reminding me and inspiring me that special days like this one is the sole purpose why I love photography.
Let me tell you a little bit about this beautiful family. Carol, the mom, is so animated and loving. There is never a dull moment with her. Her husband (a.k.a. Chubby) as hard as he looks, he is such a sweet-heart. Carol and Chubby have two younger girls and a boy who are so lovable as well, but Destiny Love Peña is something special in her own way (as I’m sure her other siblings are special at their own rights). Destiny has her mother’s beauty. When she speaks, you can tell this 15-year old is extremely smart. Actually, she’s an all A student and is currently attending South Texas College. Her parents have done such a beautiful job raising this young lady and on December 6, 2014 they celebrated her entry into womanhood.
Destiny’s quince was extremely fun and elegant. From the thumping beats that blasted, her party bus, to the last family portrait, I can truly say my team and I really enjoyed ourselves. The family rented one of my all time favorite venue’s, D’Gala in McAllen, Texas. Destiny’s dress was amazing and uniquely made just for her. She glowed all night. Loved ones and friends filled the beautifully decorated venue with laughter, dancing and affection for the quince. Destiny Love Peña, thank you for inspiring me and trusting me to capture such a memorable time in your life. Love you Carol, Destiny and family. Enjoy!
Special thanks to Imanol Miranda and Ramiro Galvan.
