Maddie’s Pumpkin Patch is a popular spot in McAllen, Texas that offers over 30 different beautifully decorated photo-ready stations for everyone to enjoy! Because of its popularity, it is a location that gets packed with many families and couples ready to explore the grounds and take their Fall photos for season greeting cards and cute Instagram posts. Certain areas will have a bit of a waiting time, but not to worry it moves along quickly.
Keep in mind that this is an all-outdoor experience on a farm-like venue, therefore expect loose dirt and farm animals walking around, such as a cute friendly billy goat who loves to photobomb your pictures.
What’s the best time for photos?
10am is a great time but so is 6pm. Time doesn’t really matter when you got pros taking care of you but if you are looking for the sweet orange tones, then golden hour would be the best time, which falls between 6pm – 8pm. If you want to be the only ones at Maddie’s then we suggest as early as 10am, that’s when it’s most calm.
What should I wear to a Pumpkin Patch?
Clothing is always totally up to you but we can make a few recommendations. First of all you want to be comfortable. Bring clothing that will allow you to both sit and post in odd spaces. Ladies if you plan posing in heels we recommend you bring some walking shoes or flats to move around the pumpkin patch. Also one outfit will be sufficient because there’s no actual place to change in case you were considering an wardrobe change.
